Date: Wednesday, 4 October 2017 to Saturday, 7 October 2017
Venue: Harrow Bangkok

The Music Team, from Harrow International School Bangkok, warmly invites all music colleagues from the FOBISIA network, from all Key Stages to join us as we host the Autumn FOBISIA Music Teachers’ Conference 2017 (Wednesday evening 4th October – Saturday 7th October 2017, with optional stay over to Sunday 8th October). The conference will be held in our newly opened Creative and Performing Arts Centre.

Whilst we may still be unpacking a few boxes and settling in and adapting to our new surroundings, it goes without saying, following on from the success of the conference held at the British School, Kathmandu, we too aim to provide you with a memorable time amongst likeminded colleagues.

We trust that the content of the conference schedule and workshops will provide you with a stimulating learning environment that will give you the chance to try something new, up-skill, or re-visit and re-fresh. As with the last conference, there is no set theme for our conference, however, our headline presenter will be Andy Gledhill and therefore we are looking forward to a number of World Music sessions during the course of the conference.

Thinking out of the box slightly, we hope to provide you with refreshing ‘time out’ moments where you will be able to opt into a fusion of basic Alexandre Technique, Beginners Guide to Latin American Dance Steps all beautifully fused with presentations on ‘Mindfulness and Music’ as well as some useful tips for growing your GCSE and A Level numbers. There will also be time set to meet and discuss with colleagues in the Music clusters.

So as you will see, we hope the conference will uplift and enliven you and send you home, full of bright new ideas, ready to unpack with your students as you begin the new academic year. It will be our pleasure to look after you and ensure you have a rewarding and a memorable FOBISIA Music Teachers’ Conference 2017.
